Stuart's story about his journey with Headway began at the age of 13, when he was knocked off of his bike by a car and was in a coma for nine days, experiencing head injury and severe memory problems. After a lot of hard work, Stuart's recovery has been excellent. He began volunteering with us in August of 2013 and was so successful in his role, establishing such close and supportive relationships with our clients, that he was offered the role of Facilitator just two months later. Stuart assists our clients with activities here at our centre, supporting and encouraging all he works with. Stuart also support clients with outdoor walks and shopping trips to the High Street, ensuring that our clients are engaged and comfortable in the community.
