Our friends at Headway Luton are looking for one Senior and one Junior Rehabilitation Support Worker to join their team.
Headway Luton has a male client in his early forties who sustained a brain injury resulting in physical, cognitive and communication difficulties. He currently lives in the family home and requires support to meet his care needs and implement his therapy rehabilitation programme, guided by his Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist to develop his independence.
Headway Luton is looking for Senior Rehabilitation Support Workers to be part of an established support team. The role will include leading the shift whilst working with junior staff, providing training to junior staff and suggesting suitable activities for the client. You will support him through all daily activities including personal care, therapy appointments, leisure pursuits and cognitive rehabilitation based activities. There will be supervision and support sessions from the Clinical Psychologist as required.
Headway Luton particularly requires support for either, or all, of the following: weekdays, Saturdays and evenings at present with the intention of implementing sleeping nights in the future. Where possible they will look to offer set weekly shifts to fit with the team and your availability.
