Our April 2019 places are now all full, however, if you are interested in running next year's Virgin London Marathon and would like to help raise funds for our charity, we would love to hear from you!

Team 'HEN' runners are asked to commit to raising a minimum of £1,250.00. Virgin London Marathon 2018

This year's Virgin London Marathon was run on Sunday 22nd April 2018 and we were once again blessed with some amazing people who ran to raise funds for us. Team HEN not only ran the Marathon for us but also worked hard in their fundraising endeavours leading up to the big day, from bake sales to raffles to curry nights.

We once again enjoyed the fabulous 'Pasta Party' to fuel up the night before the race, and Claire and the team were there at the 6.5mile point Cheering Station (just past the Cutty Sark) to cheer on each and every one of our fabulous runners.

Our runners trained so hard and battled through the miles (not to mention nursing some eye-boggling blisters!). This year's Marathon raised a bumper amount for Headway East Northants, and we are thrilled to be able to use this to continue and develop our services, and to enrich and empower the lives of our wonderful clients.

Team HEN 2018 - from the bottom of our hearts, a huge THANK YOU!

London Marathon Information Evening, 11th February

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting our annual London Marathon Information Evening on Monday 11th February, and were proud to welcome a record number of runners!

The informal evening, held at our Irthlingborough centre, offered the chance for runners to take a look around our centre, meet fellow participants, and of course it was great opportunity for us to meet these amazing people in person!

Guest speaker this year was Andrew Walker, himself an experienced London Marathon runner, and a member of Team HEN 2019. Andrew shared his knowledge and experiences, offering hints/tips about build-up to race day, nutrition, lasting the distance, and of course, recovery.

Huge thanks to all who attended!

New Year, New You? Come and be a volunteer!

Want to make a positive change for 2019? Then come and be part of our amazing team of volunteers!

Whether you have a spare day in the week, or even just an hour or two, visit our centre and meet our fantastic people. We have so much to offer those who've survived brain injury - maybe it could be YOU who helps someone re-learn a lost skill, or take on a new one.
