I joined the board of trustees at East Northants in Jan 2014 to make a difference. Offering my experience after living with brain injury for over 5 years. If nothing else these last 5 years have taught me that life is precious and that everyone, no matter what their disability is , deserves to have a life.
My full time job is safeguarding the vulnerable with the Police, a job I find very rewarding in the 14 years of service.
Since living with brain injury, following my husband’s fall in 2009, I like to support those who have also experienced brain injury. Sharing my knowledge and experience.
I have written a book called “LOST” which has been published and is available to purchase. It is about a journey that became life changing, a book
I hope will help others feel they are not alone.
I am also a member of the support group meetings held at Oundle each month, offering guidance and support to both regular and new members of the group.
Another passion of mine is trying to help with East Northants fundraising, donating raffle prizes making it my charity at work, helping out on events when I can.
Raising & promoting awareness of brain injury.
Over the last year I have been studying Psychology and have just passed a level 3 qualification.
